Special University Modules | PCS 7

P - SIMATIC PCS 7 Process Control System

With the new PCS 7 curricula, basic PCS 7 knowledge can be taught to students of universities and technical colleges within approximately 60 hours (= 1 semester). This is achieved through the hands-on exercises and one plant simulation.

Note: Extranet area

Only employees of vocational schools, Colleges and Universities, in-house vocational training departments, non commercial research institutions and non commercial training departments as well as students are authorized to log on to the Extranet with access to Word-Docs for PCS 7 Training Material.

P01-02 PCS 7 Hardware configuration

In this module, readers will learn the functional principle of an automation system. You can configure the PCS 7 hardware and check it for consistency. Settings are parameterized so that the PCS 7 process control system can use the information to autonomously create all the blocks in the automation stations required for communication between sensors, actuators and the control level.
