SINAMICS Drive Control Chart (SINAMICS DCC)
SINAMICS Drive Control Chart (SINAMICS DCC) enables you to create your own and complex technology functions based on graphical signal processing charts with interconnected blocks. By simple graphical configuration, the device functionality can be individually expanded with closed-loop control, mathematical, and logic functions.
This technology function is part of the Advanced Technology Functions and is available in the SINAMICS S120.
Optimal adaptation to the drive task
SINAMICS Drive Control Charts provide a way of configuring technological functions for the drive system freely in the simplest way. This gives users a new dimension in individual adaptability to the specific drive tasks of their machine. With Drive Control Charts (DCC), extensive blocks are available in libraries, so-called Drive Control Block libraries (DCB libraries), for configuration. With the DCC Editor, the multi-instance-capable blocks can be graphically connected by drag and drop to define open and closed-loop control functionalities. DCC does not limit the number of functions that can be used. The number of functions is limited only by the performance of the target platform. Variables of the Drive Control Charts can be published as SINAMICS parameters and fitted into the control structure at any point by means of SINAMICS BICO technology. SINAMICS DCC is an option for the commissioning software STARTER.
There are two types of DCB libraries that can be used for configuration with the DCC Editor: DCB Standard and DCB Extension.
DCB Standard is the standard library with a comprehensive selection of closed-loop control, mathematical, and logic blocks, and is available immediately on installation of SINAMICS DCC.
DCB Extension are library expansions that can expand the range of blocks with separate libraries. These include the GMC and Math Extended libraries, which are supplied as application examples.
Moreover, via DCB Extension, you can program your own blocks in the high-level language C/C++ for user-specific requirements. You program and develop blocks as your own library in a separate tool, SINAMICS DCB-Studio. This enables users to program their own drive-oriented functions in the drive efficiently.
