Our WinCC OA Solution Partner SMS Automation and Siemens Russia invited to the 2nd International Conference for SIMATIC WinCC Open Architecture, which took place from 22nd to 23rd of September 2016 in Samara, Russia. The key focus of the conference this year was on the implementation of locally engineered state-of-the-art monitoring and control systems based on SIMATIC WinCC Open Architecture. Participants of the conference had the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest developments of WinCC OA and best practices of different large-scale implementations and tailored solutions for Russian customers based on WinCC OA.
Siemens Russia’s Vice-President, Digital Factory Division Lead, Igor Sergejew, delivered an opening speech explaining the concept of Siemens’ Digital Enterprise the growing role of digitalization along the entire value added chain.
Head of SIMATIC SCADA, Bernhard Reichl, spoke about positioning of SIMATIC SCADA systems, developments of the WinCC OA certified partner network in Russia as well as of the mission of the Russian WinCC OA Competence Center in establishing proper local technical support and trustful partnership on Russian market.
Head of Business Development SIMATIC SCADA, Bernhard Staufer, talked about the digitalization as part of Siemens vision 2020, the role of SCADA systems in the Siemens MOM product portfolio and provided interesting details on some WinCC OA references which were implemented all over the world within the last year.
Representatives of the leading Russian system integrators (SMS-Automation – Conference co-organizer, Sputnic-Komplektatsia, NPP GKS) shared insights of practical aspects of WinCC OA projects in different branches and for various applications. Latest technical innovations and further plans for WinCC OA enhancement were in focus of dedicated conference sections.
In a closing speech SMS-Automation group Chairman, Andrey Sidorov, summarized that WinCC OA is a scalable platform allowing implementation of control and monitoring systems for different industrial applications. In Russian economy there is a high demand for modernization through innovations and new technologies.
Guests of conference had also an opportunity to get acquainted with the WinCC OA live demo systems. Round table discussions on the sidelines of the conference offered a great possibility for an open dialogue between system integrators and end users. More than 100 experts and executives attended the conference.
