Responsibility for Environment and Society

The building owner had strict requirements for the new office tower:

  • The building should be flexible enough to adapt to the fast moving changes in the publishing and editing business

  • Usability by third parties as well as leasing of individual building levels had to be considered

  • The greatest possible share of natural ventilation of individual offices should be possible  - without compromising on sound insulation

  • According to a ruling in 2004, the office tower could not be higher than the Frauenkirche - any plans approved until then assuming only-air air conditioning were not feasible anymore.
