End Customer Forum: Food & Beverage
On the 5th of November 2015, the End Customer Forum in Food & Beverage was organized for the fourth time in Leipzig by Siemens Berlin/ Leipzig.
The 70 participants were End Customers as well as Solution Partners (SOPs). All of them gathered at the Porsche Plant to discuss about current issues and challenges, to establish new contacts and to build up partnerships.
After the welcome by Dr. Joachim Wicke, Siemens experts as well as guest speakers lectured about possibilities to improve the production process:
Klaus Trucks informed about the concept Plant Wide Automation in the Food & Beverage industry.
Robert Ammon gave lecture about the optimization of production by line monitoring in real time at Jacobs Douwe Egberts GmbH.
Eric Piller explained possibilities, to use organic residuals energetically through the monitoring of relevant operational data.
Florian Schleinkofer has taken stand to “Smart Data” in usage in production for cost reduction and increased availability.
Solution Partner presented their references in Food & Beverage at micro fair.
Anke Parusel demonstrated options for quality and production transparency.
Steffen Otto informed about production control system with MES functionalities to optimize the whole value chain.
Finally, a joint discussion encouraged all participants to exchange opinions and new ideas. Subsequently the End Customers and SOPs were invited to join a guided tour through the Porsche plant.
Also in this year, the feedback was consistently positive. Therefore, the next End Customer Forum is already planned in November 2016.
