The Laboratories of "Testing Laboratory Medium Voltage Frankfurt am Main" is an independent Test Laboratory in accordance with the standard DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 with decades of competence in testing switchgear and components for electrical power engineering.
The Laboratories of Testing Laboratory Medium Voltage Frankfurt am Main is a plant section of Siemens AG, Division Power Transmission and Distribution, Subdivision Medium Voltage and is as such a part of the Siemens Aktiengesellschaft, Berlin and Munich, and does not constitute a separate legal entity. It is a member laboratory of PEHLA and PEHLA is a member of STL (Short-Circuit Testing Liaison).
Our excellent relations with other testing laboratories, collaboration in committees and further active training guarantee a constantly high level of knowledge and facilities. Of course we treat all test results as confidential.
The testing laboratory is specialized in testing switchgear and other components of electrical power engineering, preferably of the medium-voltage level (rated voltages from 3.6 kV up to 52 kV). This includes:
High-voltage AC contactors and motor starters with contactors
HV HRC fuses
Factory-assembled compact substations
