Description

The HB3 generator switchgear is suitable for power plants up to 400 MW depending on the power plant type and operating voltage.
The HB3 is the first generator switchgear in the world equipped with a vacuum generator circuit-breaker for up to 12,500 A with natural cooling and an IEEE standard C37.013 type-tested switching capacity of 100 kA. It offers maximum operating reliability and a high degree of personnel safety, as the potential for short circuits between the phases is eliminated due to single-phase encapsulation.
The HB3 fulfills all requirements for integration into the generator leads as a result of the flexibility of the phase spacing and diameters of the single-phase encapsulated IPBs. The switchgear can be operated with the overpressure needed for the IPB system. The switchgear is type-tested in accordance with IEC 62271-1, IEC 62271-100, IEC 62271-102, IEC 62271-200, IEEE C37.013 as well as the dual code standard IEEE / IEC 62271-37-013.
