Modular PID Control

Modular PID Control is a library of standard function blocks that are optimally tuned to each other.

They can be used to implement any type of controller structure for SIMATIC S7-300/400, C7 and WinAC in process engineering applications. In combination with the SM 334 analog module, sampling times of up to 5 ms are possible. The function blocks are easily interconnected in STEP 7, SCL and using graphical techniques in CFC.
Complex control structures can be generated clearly, flexibly and tested. The associated parameterization software contains a control loop display with bar charts and a graphic plotter for indicating the signal charts. This makes commissioning much easier. Modular PID Control is used for applications where extremely complex control structures have to be constructed. Modular PID Control is also suitable when memory space has to be saved and single controllers from the building block set meet the requirements exactly. 

Modular PID Control is recommended when analog calculation blocks including dead zone, polygon, standardization or time scheduler are used.
