Interoperability describes the ability of heterogeneous systems to interact optimally and to exchange data securely and efficiently. The decisive objective is to make the relevant information in each case immediately available to all project stakeholders. This is particularly important at a time when globally distributed projects are the rule rather than the exception.
COMOS provides an extensive pool of individually configurable interfaces for both - unidirectional and bidirectional - data exchange with third-party solutions. In addition, COMOS offers numerous integration toolkits for the exchange of business functions with external applications.
The aim is for all project stakeholders from various disciplines to be able to work in their familiar software environment (CAD, 3D, pipe planning, etc.) without having to learn to use unfamiliar software. In COMOS, the user finds standard interfaces exclusively for data import and export that connect one autonomous software product with another, and exchange data across the interface. In addition, there are “integration interfaces”, with which the functionality of third-party software can be used in the in-house software without the users having to leave their familiar working environment.
