Viewers for SIT Preactor AS Standard and Professional
Included with this release are viewers for both the Standard and Professional editions of SIT Preactor AS. Both these viewer types work by connecting to the same database as the SIT Preactor master scheduling system and are limited to a view only mode. This introduces a low cost and easily deployed viewer setup for users of SIMATIC IT Preactor AS Standard and Professional, allowing deployments where multiple users wish to view the output generated by the planner.

Utilization View
The SIMATIC IT Preactor 2015r2 includes a new Utilization window which shows utilization values for Resource Groups, Primary Resources and Secondary Resources in time buckets over the scheduling horizon. The groups and resources included in the utilization view can be configured by the user, as can the length of the time bucket and whether the results are displayed as hours or percentages. All of the utilization data can be copied to the clipboard allowing further analysis in external tools if required.

The SIMATIC IT Preactor AS Advanced Scheduling range has been redesigned to introduce functionality that was previously only available at the highest level right the way through the range.

All products in the Preactor AS range are interactive multi-constraint scheduling systems.

This means that the availability of resources, additional constraints, such as tooling, and materials are all taken in to consideration during the scheduling process to ensure an accurate model of your environment.
Orders can be scheduled quickly using intelligent built in rules and the planner also has the ability to manually interact with the schedule to make changes based on their experience or new information.


SIMATIC IT Preactor AP - Advanced Planning

Planning can be executed in finite or infinite capacity mode and planning time periods can be days, weeks, months or a combination of all three. Parameters can be set against each item codes which allows different calculations for each item.
For example some products may be in ‘make-to-stock’ mode whilst others are in ‘make-to-order’ mode. If used together with a Preactor scheduling system, detailed production schedule information can be sent back to the planning system and this will override planned volume with scheduled volume.
MPS can then be re-calculated using production schedule as the base for new results.
