With TeleControl Professional, you have complete control of widely dispersed process plants. This system enables you to efficiently handle even the most challenging monitoring and control tasks from the control center – with maximum data security. With TeleControl Professional, you can connect remote terminal units based on SIMATIC S7-1200, S7-300, and S7-400 as well as compact RTUs to the SIMATIC PCS7, SIMATIC WinCC, WinCC OA (Open Architecture) control systems or to third-party control systems. In this manner, the automation of central plants and the monitoring of decentrally distributed plant units can be combined in one system. You can operate, monitor, and configure all RTUs and plants from one central control center.

Transmission networks to match requirements
The control center  is connected with the remote terminal units via WAN (Wide Area Network). TeleControl Professional offers enormous versatility in the selection of the transmission network. It can be used with IP-based as well as conventional networks (e.g. landline), both with private and public networks (e.g. cellular). The networks can be optimally adapted to prevailing local conditions. TeleControl Professional allows the configuration of flexible network topologies (star, linear bus, and node topologies – or any combination of these). In addition, redundant transmission paths can be implemented i. e. a remote terminal unit can be connected to the control center via two networks.

Operation and monitoring with SIMATIC WinCC: SINAUT ST7cc
For the purpose of archiving data, which is necessary in many fields, the SINAUT ST7cc program package adds process data to the archives provided in WinCC, according to the supplied time stamp of the field stations. It is also able to connect to industry-typical logging systems. The SINAUT ST7cc configuration tool uses the same communication modules as the subordinate telecontrol system. The resulting consistent, end-to-end object communication – from the sensors in the process to the screen content and data bases of the control system – saves time and money.

Connecting to SIMATIC PCS 7 TeleControl and SIMATIC WinCC TeleControl:
The telecontrol systems use the SINAUT ST7, DNP3 and IEC 60870-5 protocols for communicating with the field stations. The engineering system is based on DBA (Database Automation) technology and has an extensive module library, which also allows telecontrol stations from other manufacturers to be connected.

WinCC OA
WinCC OA is a SCADA system for visualizing and operating processes. Single or redundant multi-user systems can be coupled as a distributed system, thus enabling complex control system structures to be built. It features protocol interfaces for SINAUT ST7, DNP3 and IEC 60870-5.
